I scanned some pictures into my printmaster program and they were saved as sig files. I wanted to send them – e-mail – but I don’t know what programs the recipient has. Is there any way to change these sig files into bipmaps or jpg files?

You can change the files with the format converters.

There is a video to help you too. The page also warns you that early files ( that’s files with lower numbers) tend to be faulty.
Some of the files are good and some a bit messed up. Your also going to find many have already been used by IMVU developers. But you can edit them if you know how in 3D’s MAX. I am still learning. I put the tutorials up to remind myself. Getting the relevant information is the hard bit as most people have no idea how to explain what their hands remember when they make things.

How? I have adobe elements, and it’s saying it’s the wrong type of file.

don’t "convert" RIFF files to other formats in Corel Painter. We just save the image in other formats:

First save the image in RIFF format in case you want to work on it again in Corel Painter using any Painter-specific features that are not supported in other formats and other software.

Then save the image in whatever other format you want that Painter supports, listed in the Save dialog box, including JPG or BMP
