If owning a bong with marijuana residue on it is illegal, should paper money be illegal, too?

On at least 4/5 dollar bills in the US, there are traces of cocaine. Some studies even suggest that 90% of dollar bills have cocaine residue on them.

In some places, you can get fined or jail time for owning a bong with marijuana residue on it or "drug paraphernalia". If it’s illegal because there is a trace of an illegal substance on it, then paper money should be made illegal as well because most of it have traces of cocaine.

A bong is considered to be drug paraphernalia because it is used to smoke dope. Money has uses other than to buy and use drugs. Your money can be confiscated from you if you are busted for drugs though.

First of all, it’s not just the residue that gets you in trouble.

It’s drug residue on an object USED FOR SMOKING DRUGS that makes it paraphernalia.

And the drugs on money thing may be true, but there is a difference between actual drug money and the money in my pocket right now. A drug dog can tell the difference.

If you’d spent a few more seconds thinking you could have answered this yourself. Paper money is designed as legal tender to purchase goods and services. Bongs are designed to smoke things.

If you are caught with a bong full of gutterhash, there is case of intent. If you have a 10 buck note in your wallet that has been through 50 sets of hands in between being used for snorting coke and getting to you, there is no case of intent.

Thinking is fun, and in some cases…REALLY REALLY EASY.

Have you ever heard of hypocritical or discriminating, how about abjectly stupid? Well all three terms apply to every government and 90% of the humans on the planet. Get use to it, it’s not going to change.

if a police puppy can smell it, it’s most likely illegal, police puppies can’t smell cocaine that’s on dollar bills becuase the residue is so minute that’s it’s almost non existant. next time you read soemthing about that check the hard facts…..theres fecal residue on all the food you eat did you know that? but it’s so little it’s almost non existent see how that works??
